Final Frontier "The Next Generation Of War"
Anyone who is familiar with Total Annihilation: Spring will know that you can fight on the ground, in the air and over the water. But now, its time for “The Next Generation Of War”! Prepare yourself to fight in the absolute chill of interplanetary space. Total Annihilation: Final Frontier is an epic modification to TA: Spring witch replaces the ground, air and sea forces with a massive space navy.
Will you fight for ARM, with their nimble fighters and long range battleships that can hammer enemy's to dust from distance? Or will you fight on the side of CORE, with a fleet of massive battleships, meant to crush the enemy to submission through sheer force?
Command your fleet and bases with strategy and tactic. Its on you to build a mixed fleet out of tiny but fast fighters, strong destroyers up to gigantic battleships which will destroy the enemy frontal, or sneak behind the enemies front with your stealthed or cloaked special space navy. Of course you can make it the other way by defending your base with defences for all kind of units, including huge battle stations fireing out of seven explosive weapons and concentrate your skill for your economy.
Only some of the Features included in this modification:
[] Two unique races with more than 140 different units.
[] More than 6 ship types with a lot of different ships for all types. By name fast fighters, deadly bombers, tough orbital defence systems, fast reloading frigates, strong cruiser and huge, well armed battleships.
[] Most units are able to lose weapons and Hull parts.
[] 3 tech levels allowing you to build everything from fusion reactors to massive, armored battle stations.
[] Intelligent weapon turrets. Small anti fighter weapons don’t aim at big battleships or huge siege guns don’t target small fighters to be fully loaded, when their real targets get in range.
[] Well thought “paper-scissor-rock” balance system: Every single unity type has its role in the battles. To put only some examples, a group of small fighters can hunt a single battleship with ease, but covered with some frigates, the fighters will go down in seconds. If you want to destroy a base, there is nothing more useful than a horde of bombers and battleships. To shoot the bombers you will need some anti bomber fighters or fast fireing flak turrets, while you can use fighters or big defence systems for taking down the battleships.
[] To bring these battles as near as possible to you, the graphic and sounds are all well chosen and designed.
[] Be smart, be silent, be fast. Will you sneak through the dark of space or will you approach brazenly, with your fleet for all to see? Or will you decide the path of guile, and slip through the enemy's defense's with covert telaportation technology.
[] Most weapons aren't fully rotatable, so it's useful to attack slow ships from behind, bringing you the full advantage of your weapons while the opponent's weapons aren’t able to fire backward.
[] Unique space maps especially designed for Final Frontier, to put the battles into the environment, they shall be placed.
This mod is under constant development and is often updated by new fixes, balance changes, new sounds, graphics and units. At the moment there is still the idea of a third race…

hm.. i think all these bugs come from a new SPring version. This mod is not supported anymore, so it can be that FA needs an old Spring version.

How can I build stuff. I cant with my commander.
Ok, KAIK loads fine, but no one can build....
I seem to be having a problem loading AI for this mod....I can load both sides commanders just fine, but when AI is thrown in the mix, it crashes after the countdown.
Any ideas? I'm using the AAI script
