The Fifth Column universe was created by Mordechai Gabai, who was quickly joined by Xiang He Pang and later on Mauro Vos (of Dead Cry fame). Terry Chan and Mark Churchill also were major contributors to Fifth Column. By 2014, the project switched from UDK to UE4. The intention was originally to make the game non-commercial, although the Fifth Column team departed from this in the hope of making a living from game development, and also in the hope of developing Fifth Column into a more full fledged game.
This prototype was first released to a limited audience in 2017, based on an earlier prototype which saw a limited release in 2015 though failed its aim to attract funding for expanding and polishing the game. As such, Fifth Column is currently in hibernation and those involved have moved on to other projects. Feel free to redistribute this on a non-commercial basis. Feel free to get into touch to obtain assets, (the source code is available on Github.com)
Fifth Column has since been superseded by a new project called Total Rendition, which however is to contain many of the elements which made Fifth Column appealing.
