Great game, I wish more people played it. However recently i've been having issues on staying on a server because it keeps disconnecting me.

Thanks for bringing Fields of War to Linux!!! It's great. Please consider adding Desura keys to our IndieGameStand wallets (I happily beat the average by a fair margin to show support for your studio). I understand if that isn't as easy as it sounds, but would surely appreciate your effort to do so. Good luck with your future titles, team Thermal Erosion!

Hi, Desura keys should be available for IGS owners.
I'd be glad if you can confirm everything is working as expected.

The game looks good in the video, but there isn't enough info for me to make a qualified choice to buy it. I'd like to know at the very minimum:
How many maps are there?
How "alive" is the game in terms of community and competition, and where are the official discussion boards?
What customization options apart from color scheme, can you "build" your own models with weapon layouts and so on like in the old mechwarrior games?
How moddable is the game and how accessible is it? (IMO multiplayer games should be mod friendly so the community can make their own maps and adress balance issues)
What are the system reqs, do I need a gaming rig or can I play it on a low end laptop?
And so on, just generally some more info to go on. If that happens and I like the answers I'll buy the game for sure.

I'd play it if it was free!

What you are saying is equivilant to telling a reseraunt owner that you would eat his food if it was free. Sorry pal, but game development isn't easy. I know you mean no ill intent, but making a game free isn't very cost effective for a developer.

Uh...it's not even close, assuming they meant F2P and not freeware. Not that I think this game needs it or anything, but F2P is a perfectly valid business model that can make developers money. I mean, we've even got MechWarrior Online and Hawken as two examples of F2P mech combat games.

I understand what you are saying, but this game wasn't structured as a free to play game. This game was structured as a pay once and enjoy everything there is to offer. I'm not saying F2P isn't a valid buisnesss model, I'm just saying this game hasn't been built in a manner to be F2P.

In my bad analogy it is like telling a resteraunt owner to make it free to order water and salad, but charge them for toppings and such seperately.

The general idea is that they couldv'e chose F2P if they wanted to, but as you can see they haven't. Maybe in the future they could make a free demo where you can only play one class or somthing. Anyway thanks for replying. :D

Would you also come clean my house for free?
Servers and development isn't free to us, why should the game be free to you?
