Fate of the Galaxy is a Space Simulator game, where the player takes the role of a starfighter pilot through a series of missions in a story campaign. A multiplayer mode will also be available. The game is primarily played through the perspective of single-manned craft, and there are no plans for control of capital ships or multi-player vehicles. Most missions will be set in space, though atmospheric missions are planned as well in later releases.
The player will choose to play as either a pilot for the Rebel Alliance (later the New Republic) or the Galactic Empire. Each side will have its own unique ships to control. Story missions will also include neutral factions such as pirates or smugglers.

Official news updates on the game's development have bee relatively quiet, but as you might have seen there is continual chatter on the Discord channel. Our beta testers have provided valuable feedback for all three story campaigns, and we are hard at work polishing and improving the game.
We also want to share the work of our newest modeler, Limbert, who has made stunning cockpits for TIEs and the X-wing (along with a new BFF Freighter)! These cockpits are fully functional and integrated with HUD gauges (ie, RTT), so the player can truly feel like a star fighter pilot. Other polishing efforts include visual enhancements, lighting tweaks, and scripting improvements--all aimed to fully capture the feel of the Original Trilogy. We also want to acknowledge the work of ngld and co. for continually improving Knossos. We have used Knossos for beta testing and it will be our primary distribution platform for our public release.
