Jack Carver is cursing the day he ever came to this island. I think it's really COOL shooter with REALLY cool(for 2004!) graphic. So if you can't go to Miami bich or...another warm places=), and you can't play Crysis(or for same reason don't want it), you shouls play FarCry.
9/10 for crazy story in the end(looks like in Crysis, but with flash monsters)
This game still looks amazing, thanks to the beloved cryengine that always take visual improvements ahead of us. This game is a great title, the story is great, the environments are great, the graphic is still amazing! What's so awesome about first-person shooters with awesome storylines is that you can roleplay and either be a tough guy or a sneaky assassin. Overall this game is hard, at least that's what I thought of it, but you wont give up because of that. Find a way through the enemy and a new experience awaits!

I'd absolutely say that this game, despite the difficulty, is the root of what we play today.
The graphics are great, even by some of today's standards. The voice acting is fine, and a bit funny. The best thing is probably the flexibility of its engine, where you can attach a minigun to a raft, and then you connect it to a boat.
Even if it does have good graphics, it doesn't mean that it lags. Certainly not. The game won't even lag on an Intel X3100 (if you lower the settings).
But, regarding the difficulty... well, if you complain, then git gud! It's not hard, you're just not good enough.
And the music seems well-composed, along with the dynamic music engine. It reminds me of the music from turkish TV series. It feels dramatic.
Now, the modding aspect is great. E.g. you can easily make a messup mod, with every soldier having a rubber duck as a hat (with the hat already included with Far Cry). And you could easily name your mods: Fat Cry, Half-Cry, Cry Far, Farthest Cry, Fart-Cry, Far Laugh and MANY more...
If I never met that friend of mine, I'd never know about the best game which I ever played.
FarCry is completely the best game that I have ever Played, i played yet many other games than FarCry of course. But this game has a nice Sci Fi singleplayer.
And the multiplayer is a Bomb! The assault mode from FarCry is completely perfect, i have never played a soo good TeamWork gamemode ever before.
Other games provide mostly only DM or TDM, and some other modes.
But the mode of FarCry 1 is different from the other modes, I can't stop playing it, i play it now 4 years.
And I get so much inspiration, to start modding for that game, I made AddOns for the Multiplayer for give the game some, not really necessary, but nice items and improments.
For me this game has an 10! Its very easy to understand after a time, and you get really energy to play it every day. :-)
