Jack Carver is cursing the day he ever came to this island. A week ago Valerie, a brash newspaper reporter, offered him an incredible sum of cash to sail her to this unspoiled paradise; but shortly after docking he was greeted by artillery fire from a mysterious militia group swarming over the island. I'd absolutely say that this game, despite the difficulty, is the root of what we play today.

The graphics are great, even by some of today's standards. The voice acting is fine, and a bit funny. The best thing is probably the flexibility of its engine, where you can attach a minigun to a raft, and then you connect it to a boat.

Even if it does have good graphics, it doesn't mean that it lags. Certainly not. The game won't even lag on an Intel X3100 (if you lower the settings).

But, regarding the difficulty... well, if you complain, then git gud! It's not hard, you're just not good enough.

And the music seems well-composed, along with the dynamic music engine. It reminds me of the music from turkish TV series. It feels dramatic.

Now, the modding aspect is great. E.g. you can easily make a messup mod, with every soldier having a rubber duck as a hat (with the hat already included with Far Cry). And you could easily name your mods: Fat Cry, Half-Cry, Cry Far, Farthest Cry, Fart-Cry, Far Laugh and MANY more...

If I never met that friend of mine, I'd never know about the best game which I ever played.
