Easily GOTY, but the Ai needs some work, they seem to see you but forget in a few seconds just because you go behind cover also the accuracy for them is bad. This is good for easy difficulty but on hard I wanted it to be insane, like the first far cry on realistic mode.
I can't wait until the mods for this game come out, it will be amazing.

An open world spectacular with flawless core shooter systems

Good overall game, just has a few little things that don't appeal/I don't like

This game was amazing, a massive improvement from the bad Far Cry 2 (the game was good but the worst) The game definitely changes the way you play, skills and take downs etc are so freaking awesome. This game is the best out of the Far Cry Franchise, well done Ubisoft!

Without a doubt the best entry in the Far Cry Series, and one of the best FPS Games to come out this Generation.

Far Cry 1 whilst amazing and impressive for the Year it was released was let down by its Artificial Difficulty and the retardedly OP Trigen Enemies.

Far Cry 2 tried Hard to be a gritty realistic FPS which almost succeeded but failed.

Pros+

+Beautiful Tropical Island Landscape.

+A variety of Guns including Handguns, SMG's, Shotguns, AR's, Sniper Rifles, HMG's, Launchers, ect.

+Lots of Quests, Tasks, Minigames, and Challenges such as Supply Runs, Hunting Rare Animals, and Assassinating Pirate and PMC Generals.

+A huge variety of Animals which can be killed for their hides to craft bigger Loot Sacks, Wallets, and Explosive and Ammo Pouches.

+Unlockable Skills, all of which are useful.

+Lots of Loot and Collectibles (WW2 Letters, Memory Cards, Relics, ect).

+The Main Villains (Vaas/Hoyt) are really well acted and intimidating.

Cons-

-If you accidentally miss a shot when trying to pick off some Pirates or PMC Soldiers they all come runnig towards your position which is kinda ******** and unrealistic.

-The only Australian Actor is a Psychopathic Rapist which kinda errked me, thank God I got to Kill him.

=The Protagonist isn't really likable, but he's still bearable compared to Jack Carver from Far Cry 1.

Final Score: 9/10 Cave Mushrooms

NOTE: For a second Playthrough you should Install Ziggys Mod, makes the Game more Challenging and Realistic.

Also Check out Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, its a Fun Homage to 80's Action Movies and Saturday Morning Cartoons, plus Michael Biehn (who was in Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, and Planet Terror) Voices the Protagonist.

One of the most satisfying games I have ever played. It's pretty hard to put into words just how good and how much of a step-up Far Cry 3 was when it was released. Far Cry 3 is often called one of the greatest games ever made, and i very much agree.

Firstly, Far Cry 3 still has the best narrative in any Far Cry game and still has the overall best characters. But It's so much more than its story.

Far Cry 3 changed the series forever and had a huge influence on games from that point on. Far Crys 3s now very normal gameplay was not that when it was first released. The Ubisoft formula was actually new and fresh and very addicting, and it was done the best in Far Cry 3.

Far Cry 3 improved so much from the past games also. Far Cry 2 was a good but sadly flawed experience and was often more annoying than fun. It's the complete opposite with 3.

The gameplay is so smooth and there is so much to do and everything is well implemented into the game and everything makes sense.

Every other far cry game since has pretty much been a copy and paste of number 3, and it's a shame honestly because it waters down just how great 3 is.

I see so many people these days stating that 3 is overrated and all I can say is if you played far cry 1 then 2 then 3 you will understand why it is considered such a big deal.

The stealth system that every far cry game now has, Well it was first done in 3. A ton of the guns and weapons were added first in 3. The amazing and so satisfying stealth take-downs that you can do in a variety of ways that everyone loves, yup that was first done in 3.

All the animals such as Tigers and Bears, wild dogs, sharks that now interact with the player and can be used to attack enemies, yup once again it was first done in 3. Yes, there were animals in 1 and 2, but they really did not do much. The world in Far Cry 3 is very much alive. The crafting system and collecting things to sell from the open world along with the wing suit....all first done in Far Cry 3

I could go on and on, so much was added and done so well in 3 that barely anything else had to be done in the later games. You really can not add much to a game that is nearly perfect.

The game looked amazing for its time. The island is huge and is full of dense beautiful scenery, it really was a sight to behold. It has aged a tad now, but it can still look beautiful with some reshade added. I often find myself just getting lost and taking screenshots because it just looks so gorgeous.

The open world is massive, very detailed and full of content, but not over bloated like the rest of the later games. Far Cry 3 while not on the same level as 2 is still very immersive, and you still feel like you are in danger in its world. This is something that also will get less and less in the games that came out after. It's a desperate survival.

Ubisoft created something special with Far Cry 3 and I don't think they will ever make another Far Cry game that has as much impact as this one. I have played them all and none of them have impressed me more than 3 (even though Far Cry 2 has a ton of interesting features also)

Far Cry 3 is a classic and everyone should play it.

Welcome to a tropical paradise. Our Hero, Jason Brody, seems to think this is the perfect spot to skydive. Turns out he didn't learn anything from Jack Carver.

Gameplay: It is pretty much a refined and improved version of Far Cry 2. The map being something you have to hold has been replaced, however, for a HUD map and a pause screen map. This game seems to return to Far Cry's roots of stealth as well as action making it more tactical and a lot more fun. They also took a few ideas such as the radio towers and base capturing from Assassin's Creed, but it worked pretty well in this. There was also crafting from hunting which was a great addition as well. One problem I have, though, is capturing radio towers gives you free weapons which removes the need to save money and work hard to get the better gear. There's also a much improved map editor that allows you to make multiplayer or singleplayer maps giving you many weeks of extra fun.

Story: The story is pretty amazing in this game, compared to its brothers. I will admit, Jason is fairly rude at times and is a coward at the beginning. The story does have some really great moments, though. Vaas is also a character that makes the player want to push forward just to see him again, sadly he dies a bit too soon.

Multiplayer/Coop: The Coop is a great addition. I've found it to be challenging at times, but a great way to spend some time on Xbox Live. FC3 does have the typical pick-your-loadout deal, but it isn't too bad.

Summary: This is a great game filled with great moments and amazing characters. The Graphics are beautiful and create an incredibly immersive world. The story does have a few short comings and the game has an excessive amount of language and a bit of nudity, but that's not a big deal. All in all, I highly recommend buying this game. You will have weeks of entertainment just from one game. On top of that, you have a map editor to keep you playing for a lot longer.

easily the best in the series one of the most fun games ever.

The base of all the new installments of the franchise, Far cry 3 became the best game in the series thanks to its excellent narrative, great immersion, many different ways of how to play it and the best villain that Ubisoft could give us.

I have no particular issues about the game other than it runs like crap on my system. That's a problem on my part of course, as 512 MB VRAM shouldn't even be possible.
Sometimes, the physics mess up and the wingsuit launches me in a random direction. This happened only a small couple of times, and other than that, I've had no other issues.
