You are sent to war-torn Africa to assassinate The Jackal, a mysterious arms dealer who has rekindled conflict between local warlords, jeopardizing thousands of lives. Description
Title: In the Dark Far Cry 2 / Alone in the Dark / Nostalgia map This map can play all modes, the outer ring of the map is for DM,TDM and CTD. The entire map can be used for Uprising. There are plenty of choices Included in an attempt to avoid too much linier game play. This is a manhunt type of game that caters to stalking as opposed to a head on assault, but can do both. Each team has two vehicles at their disposal to navigate this map as well as an air boat and a hang glider that are located in the center of this map. This map can be used for all modes of play so feel free to take short cuts during DM or TDM though the town or use the glider for flanking your opponents. This map has a lot to offer so please explore this oasis style map. As well as game play I wanted this map to have a story to tell, and with dramatic lighting was able to create a eerie atmosphere to your gaming experience for all for you late night gamers who like to play in the dark.

To help with some of the confusion about this map, well here's the thing. This map is really based off of Silent Hill (map center), but the mist caused too many issues with game play and would still need to be done at night to get all the needed lighting effects to work. With the combination of both, the map became difficult to navigate.Buildings were moved to locations to improve game play from converting a survival horror to a first person shooter. I could of easly done a copy of another shooter, but then its just a copy and not original.So...Silent Hill/Alone in the Dark/Far Cry 2 map.
Oh yeah one more thing, the temple was just added to give a nice break from the expected. It being outside of the center I didn't feel the need to include it in the theme. I still however needed another good place to stash a check point as well as some sort of landmark due to the size of this map to help with navigation. I will upload pictures of this map in daytime hours to help with that as well. After the contest is over I will upload a daytime version.The center is a great place for TDM. one team will have a air boat while the other will have first crack at the high ground... you know "Balance"
