Facing resistance from megacorporations all over the universe, they have developed a technology that could revolutionize energy and eradicate waste. The companies that stand to lose trillions of dollars have banded together to stop The Contingency. They call themselves The Exigient Syndicate, or just Exigient, and they will stop at nothing to protect their interests.
