does this work without track ir?
Yes, it does. Headlook is mapped as well. Throttle Toggle will still be mapped with TrackIR though :)
Dear Aussiedroid,
on my way to have a working installation with usable mapping of my hardware (Thustmaster HOTAS Warthog, VR Oculus Rift or TrackIR 5, Voice Attack with HCS Voicepacks, T.A.R.G.E.T GUI) I found your great effort and your insane script.
I'd love to use your Aussiedroid-ED-Warthog-Script-3.0.1.zip, but I am having problems using it correctly.
I tried to use your manual literally at my installation but I got lost at some steps. I am not native speaker and so I might get lost and was not sure any more if I am on the right way in the installation any more.
I could really need your help to get everything running as I need to.
Finally I would like to improve the manual for others fools like me.
I there a possiblity that you can coach me at my installation?! How can we get in contact.
Kind regards,
Major7079 aka CMDR Edward P. Cole
Hey there Major7079,
Thanks for checking out the script, sorry to hear you are having some troubles getting it going. Did my best to cover as much as I could in the instructions but can appreciate might be difficult if not your native language.
Best way to contact me is via the Frontier Forums post or via the Steam Guide comments if you are on Steam. Links are mentioned in the script file. I don't check the comments here often.
If you can describe over there, what issues you are having perhaps we can work through them :)
Cheers, AD

Hi There,
These instructions are a little more dated than the GitHub or Steam guide versions. Sorry to hear you are finding it confusing. There is a lot more information across on the Steam Guide and GitHub and some quick searching online should give you the basics to what is required to start a script. The profile I believe you are referring to is the binding file in the ED Bindings folder. That needs to be copied to the correct folder, but the script can be run from any folder.
Cheers, AD
I've also updated the Installation Instructions a few moments ago to the newer version found on the other sites. Should be more informative than the earlier version :)
hi! i'm hoping my problem is a super common one. i have the warthog hotas, no pedals. i used the basic binds and compiled the AD_ED. i tried the basic EDUserprefs and also modified it to show 0's for rudder hardware, but the results were the same, when i start the game and select the ADED hotas in the options/controls i go to the training and it seems like my inputs are possessed and doing their own thing even when i'm not touching mouse/keyboard/hotas. my menu selections don't seem to work, and i'm spewing forth things in chat..sometimes 07, sometimes rude things :) it must be the inputs because i'll just not touch anything and it'll send me to different windows even game menus outside of the normal active game...do i have to throw holy water on it? :D obi wan you're my only hope! -mark
(oh, and i read [1] as "with modifier 1 pressed" but..what is modifier 1,2,etc..hopefully not the numeric keys on the keyboard?)
(aha! i think i found/fixed the random noise thing! for some reason there were two binds files in the bindings dir 4.3.0.3.0 and 4.3.0. i in my mind i only added the "without rudder" but it seems i copied/pasted both files? strange..i deleted the 4.3.0 and it's a lot calmer. now i just have to figure where/how to map "roll" to get through chapter 1 training session..any suggestions? can i live without rolling? :) ) (oooh it momentarily spazzed again and threw me out into the outer menus...ack!)
