Dungeon Siege combines the immersive elements of a role-playing game with over-the-top intensity and non-stop action. Dungeon Siege plunges you into a continuous 3D fantasy world where you face off against an army of evil that has been unleashed. Dungeon Siege is a RPG set in the "Kindom of Ehb" in a medieval type timeframe, similar to games like Diablo. It was created as a highly modable game, and released with an indepth Game Editor, as well as a 3D modelling program. There are a large number of mods in production for the game, extending and pushing its brilliant immersive gameplay to the edge.
High resolution textures made using AI image upscaling ESRGAN.
I spent several days upscaling Dungeon Siege textures using AI image upscaling ESRGAN. The end result is a texture pack that is 900 MB in size and contains 500 textures. Since the algorithm increases width and height of texture by 4, this means 16 times increase in surface and file size. The areas I worked on are Farmlands, Stonebridge, Glacern (only buildings and items) and upper parts of Castle Ehb. A lot of time went into this, since there was a lot of experimentation at the beginning and a lot of bottlenecks slowing the whole process down. After all the work it is still just around 15-20%(if not less) of the areas that have been enhanced. I will have to see if I will continue updating the rest of the textures, I need a break for now...
After extracting the archive with WinRAR or 7-Zip, you will find the installation instructions and I also included few save files, so you can quickly go to the areas I worked on and see how they look now.

UPDATE (November 12, 2019):
Part 2 is now available to download from the link below. I have finished Glacern and snow terrain textures, as well as Castle Ehb dungeon. I also finished Cliffs Of Fire and 3 dungeons.
Below are several direct comparisons of the textures themselves. Right click on them and press "View Image" to see them in their full size. In top-left corner is the original texture in its original size, they are 128x128 or 256x256 pixels. Then left is that texture upscaled 4 times using linear filtering like in the game and on right is the new ESRGAN texture. You can see individual leaves of grass now and dirt is much more detailed. Wood gets a lot of fine detail. I took special care that stone and bricks keep the grain and roughness of the surface.
