NOTE ABOUT CHANGE USERS:
==================================================
======
- We recommend that users who have installed changes in the Doom3 directory delete them before installing this patch. These changes are not supported by Activision and may be inconsistent with some of the features included.
NOTES ON SOLO BACKUPS:
==================================================
====
- The application of this update will reset your progress in the current map. When the next backup is loaded, the player will have to start this card from the beginning, in possession of all his inventory.
- The application of this update will reset the settings of the Nightmare skill. If you were playing in Nightmare mode before applying the 1.1 update, you'll need to reactivate it on the console (g_nightmare 1)
NOTE ABOUT THE DEDIE WIN32 SERVER EXECUTABLE:
==================================================
==========
- The 1.1 update also contains a Win32 dedicated server executable, allowing you to create a server under Win32 without checking the CD. You can launch this executable online command with the options of your choice, or set it up after it launches with the console. The executable's name is "Doom3Ded.exe."
Corrections and updates 1.2:
================================================
- Engine changes to support DOOM 3TM features: Resurrection of Evil (TM) (the main difference in time zones)
- Fixed mod support (as well as support for DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil)
- Checking the CD key online when starting (with support for the xp key if DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil is installed, regardless of the mod)
- Correction of net_serverServerTimeout when the server plants or disappears
- Reducing projectile traffic (in the basic codes and DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil)
- Many internal backup code changes compatible with OS X(TM) and LinuxTM for more maneuverability
