Production of the project has been going for a long time since sometime around 2007. I worked on it as an on/off project. I did a Doom 2 compile attempt about 5 year's ago, been trying to make Doom 1/2 mods that compile levels for each game.
This was being ported from Doom 1 engine, using the Doom 1 maps into Doom 2. The compile was rebuilt from scratch for the 3rd time.
The previous build was built with Doom 1 engine in mind but this build means you can play with the 'double-barrel' shotgun, all the enemy's/switches/keys have finally been added.
Also the intersections have been re-worked and will be working on episode 2 soon hopefully.
One more thing I have noticed when porting that is randomly replaces textures in the port so will be looking into those at some point but my focus at the moment is fusing the levels together since it's exhausting due to the fact that I was mostly building them in one go.
After this build I'm working on teleporters to send players to the secret levels in the same level if all goes well.
