The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly, killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control. No one believes they exist. No one but you.

Description

Adds various graphics effects to our beloved Deus Ex. In this .INI bloom, water, and bump-mapping are enabled, and the others can also be activated via the .INI file. *NOTE* You MUST use the included D3D9 renderer, otherwise ENB will NOT work.

I press shift+f12, but don't notice any changes. Nor does my game look any better. And my video card is on the list of ones that support this.

Did you change the renderer to the included D3D9 one? ENB ONLY works with the Direct3D9 renderer.

For some reason it crashes whenever I try to use 32-bit colors.

This working alongside New Vision would look awesome! :D
Just wish my computer/Graphics card was compatible.

Works also fine with Kentie's DirectX 10 Renderern which I found here
kentie.net/article/dxguide/index.htm
Best used with this exe file

Have to correct myself. It doesn't. But since there are many fancy effects included this one isn't needed. No offense.
I tried this though with the Dx9 renderer and it looks really nice. However, New Vision textures won't be loaded :(

Im trying to get some karma so that some divine influence will help me with my problem. So you CAN get ENB to work with New Vision. Heres what you do: Go to the .ini file (in system, and if you use kentie launcher then my documents/system) and under where it has the stuff for DX9 put use sftc3 textures=true (if you have properly installed NV you know what Im talking about, however dont copy and paste that because its not exact) and then set shiny surfaces to true (if not there then copy it from another renderer line). Now my problem is I cant get shifter to work with ENB and NV together. It says it encountered an error and needs to close or that it stopped working and simply closes when I go to training. It launches fine.

This mod is excellent with Revision, since default Revision Dx9 config breaks both ENB and SweetFX:

UseAA breaks SweetFX.
UseFragmentProgram breaks ENB bumpmaps.

This mod works with ENB by default, but if you wanna chain SweetFX with ENB, you still need to disable UseAA, and perhaps use SweetFX SMAA/FXAA.

To chain ENB and SweetFX:
- extract SweetFX
- rename D3D9.dll into SWEETFXd3d9.dll
- extract ENB series (preset+dll)
- edit ENB ini settings:
[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=true (or 1). InitProxyFuncti (or 1).

ProxyLibrary=SWEETFXd3d9.dll
- launch the game (DX9), hotkey for ENB is Shift+F12, and ScrollLock for SweetFX
- turn off UseAA if SweetFX doesn't work with preferences or in config and try SweetFX SMAA/FXAA

If maker of this mod is reading:

Please check/fix your Dx9 dlls (don't know which one), because every time I start the game, in Windows Mouse Control Panel it ALWAYS turns on "Enhance Pointer Precision" aka mouse acceleration!
