Extract the download to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex The Fall\
Then run the game and it should be working.
If you want to add the reshade update after, follow the notes on the description for updating.
Use the 3.4.1 version of reshade for updating

Goto the game folder and the sweetfx folder, edit the sweetfx_settings.txt, under "Curves settings" change "define Curves_mode" from 2 to 0.
