Post news Report RSS GMDX v8.0 DELAYED

GMDX is an award-winning large-scale modification for the 2000 PC classic Deus Ex. GMDX addresses the many flaws of the game, polishes it to a very high standard, and adds new layers of depth that one would have hoped to see in a sequel. GMDX is executed with the strict parameter of staying true to the original design principles that define Deus Ex, and seeks to improve all aspects of design excluding the plot and soundtrack.

GMDXv8.0's release date has been set back to DEC 20th 2015 as more testing time is needed.

In the meantime, all the videos that demonstrate the sheer scale and design progression that is GMDX:

As a side note, ALL Military-type NPCs can now melee if you get up close:

GMDX has also gained a new team member! He's a talented artist that goes by the alias '"Barbeerian", and intends to aid GMDX fulfill its potential by adding a variety of new art: 2D textures, skins, models and animations.
Here's a shot of the very first asset contributed in its early creation stage, a helmet model:

I'm always looking for new team members to push Deus Ex at an accelerated rate and cover other fields of design, so if you're interested send a PM.

Apologies for the delay. Quality is important.

It's okay. Take your time. It's better to release a complete mod with almost little to no issues fixed than simply rushing it *cough* Bethesda games *cough*.

is it okay that I haven't beaten the game before? Also, if you leave me some sort of instant messenger account you have along with some general instructions, I'm all yours for the month.

Sign up to moddb or email me (address can be found in my profile).
I've gotten a decent number of testers now so if not don't worry, but the more the merrier I say!

There will be Underrail release in the same time, I want to test your mod to make something productive while waiting for it.
Don't want to make comment that sounds bad, but... you know, waiting for something good is like that.

I don't care it's delayed as long as it's DRM-free.
It's always good that anyone who OWNS the game's copy is able to enjoy the mod.

I found your mod on the rpgcodex and this actually makes realistic mode a threat.

Hmm, maybe the delay could also be used to add an optional function of randomness to item drops, enemy locations and enemy amounts for mixing up playthroughs past the first experience?

Pleeease? :3
