Deprivation is a challenging 2D platformer by Kraflab. Dave has been banished from sky kingdom and stripped of his ability to fly, doomed to wander ever downward in search of a new home. On this woeful journey, he enters exceedingly dangerous worlds. Deprivation explores the puzzle-space created when you eliminate typical platforming mechanics. As such, there is no direct way to gain vertical momentum. You must use environmental effects and abilities to overcome obstacles. The game is designed to be beatable by anyone, but offers great difficulty to those who seek it. The game has 75 normal levels with 68 challenge trinkets to collect, followed by 50 bonus levels.

Has anyone made a let's play for this? Would really like to see something longer than the trailer :>
Well, I made a quick gameplay video of the demo, you can watch it if you like, it might give you an idea of how the game is. But I suggest downloading the demo itself!
I could do a run through the game and upload it if you're interested, but it wouldn't have the "let's play" feeling since I know all the solutions :P
Tried the demo. It's interesting, removing the jump and all but man, is it difficult. Especially getting the gems.
My advice is to always move on if fun turns to frustration. Things will always seem much easier when revisited.
Ah. Didn't realize I could skip levels. Thanks!
The one level (can't remember the name off the top of my head) that starts you on a small ledge with streams of lava above and below you that span most of the level's width just didn't want to let me win haha.
