This game is very Trion. As with many of their games they'd just be better off going completely serious or silly, but they always choose to go half way and do both. The game's a bit buggy and its a painfully obvious console port. I haven't even figured out how to form a group yet because a lot of these menu things are so unintuitive. The inventory screen is a vertical list without any way to sort through it properly.
The vehicle mechanics are actually good and they can be used as weapons. It functions surprisingly well as a third person shooter. Guns can be customized in many different ways however you can only carry two weapons at any given time.
Some characters are terrible, some have terrible voice acting, the alien curse words are plain annoying, and the combat music is insufferable after a while.
Basically, it deserves the 6/10s you see it getting all over a place. There's plenty of potential here but again, Trion made it.
I actually like this game. Especially now, where it's F2P, way worth your time! It's great fun to play the gam and watch the series at the same time, I really like the crossover stuff. The arkfalls (boss fights) are great fun and the open world Coop works perfectly.
Still, the game could be improved in some ways, a proper video settings menu, for example. Also, here and there I've found some minor bugs, but nothing too bad.
