Decay: Tempus is an upcoming first-person action game that takes place in a distant dark future, in which you play Hiro Hiyazaki, an unsuspecting hero. It's the first game, in a series, in which the player will travel through multiple different time periods, trying to find their so called "friend" and change the world forever.

Description

Two images of some additions made to the engine recently just to let you all know we're still at it.

One is an example of the recently implemented material system; rather simplistic compared to most other games right now but it does its job (and the models shown are obviously placeholders, so ignore those). The material system goes in hand with our new rendering pipeline, and supports multiple skins, sphere-mapping, fullbrights and surface types.

The second is an implementation of Wolfire's method of drawing transparent surfaces, that uses multiple passes to achieve a slightly softer appearance. The left side shows their method while the right side shows the original method (alpha-tested texture).
