Alice: Madness Returns
AdventureEleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice's family from her and left her mind horrifically scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum...
Waking up in an abandoned hospital with only your cell phone for illumination, you explore the institution’s dark criminal past as you attempt to escape. In Daylight no two experiences are the same, and it is best played alone in the dark. Daylight introduces gamers to a procedurally generated world that replicates the horrifying nature of Daylight over and over again, but creates a different environment for each new game. Each time the player begins a new game, they experience a new world with new content and encounters; from the layout of the building and the things they seek to the events they encounter, it is never the same experience twice.

Sigh its not better than the Alpha, in fact its considerably worse. This is why you can't trust early releases. see the review here: Steamcommunity.com
I'm hoping that it ends up better than the beta. I'm thinking that this has a bit of a hit and miss horrorwise. Theres none of the sneaking or hiding aspect, instead its more like fatal frame without the camera & not as scary. Having a audible queue before every scare is a lame movie trope that is out of fashion in modern horrors and it doesn't fit into a video game.
The ghosts are also not as threatening as the creatures in outlast/amnesia, they seem to either just the screaming one or the one that chases after you at a slower pace than you (disappearing rather quickly). If its hard to die than I don't think that it grasps the simplest aspect of survival horror let alone the subtly that it requires.
I like the premise though, the environments remind me of Condemned which is good. Story seems tight and there is a focus on the whole detective in the dark thing. Randomly generated scares I really like the sound of because White Day did that exceptionally well (although they happen to often in the beta & don't have any of the variety that made White Day great). I am fond of walking in the dark with only a few limited duration flares for protection. The fact that its going to release within 3 1/2 weeks is a tad disconcerting. I hope it ends up better than the beta.
Just saw pewdiepie played this ! The gameplay is like Outlast but the storyplot is different .. When will be the release ?? Tracking ! :D
