Based on Warhammer 40,000 the third and final expansion to the genre-defining and critically-acclaimed RTS, Dawn of War. In Soulstorm, two new armies are introduced – Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar - raising the total number of playable armies to nine. The revolutionary meta-game that was first introduced in Dark Crusade is further expanded to an interplanetary scale, allowing players to battle across the star system.

While the Armor Pierce addon is pretty awesome and made by a cool guy, if you want to remove it (unless Kasarkin has done something to change it significantly) you can do the following:

- Download the Armour Pierce Addon from this site
- Install the Armour Pierce Addon (yes, I know this sounds counter-intuitive)
- Use the Armour Pierce Addon uninstaller

That should restore the default values for you. :)

You forgot to include install instructions. The readme, while fairly detailed, doesn't include the one piece of information everyone needs. So as nice as your mod may be, it does literally nothing until you provide instructions for installing.

having trouble with the camera - had the camera_high.lua installed in the W40k Data folder. Now that i have installed the mod, i see it also has the camera_high.lua in its data folder however the zoom is not nearly as effective as the standard game. Is this a glitch?

Just copy-paste your version of camera_high.lua over the one in the Bugfix folder.

I'm not sure what's happening but it seems that there are some sounds missing, I hear no sounds from units and buildings being completed, I've recently reinstalled the game and it just feels like I should be hearing those sounds.

Edit: It doesn't happen all the time however. I relaunched the game for instance and deactivated the bugfix mod and the sounds play. I then switched back to the bugfix mod and they still play, I have no idea why it's happening and it hasn't happened again, although I will mention that I tried playing Soulstorm in borderless fullscreen when the sounds failed the first time. I also had an uncolored cursor when trying to play like that.

Also another issue I've just encountered and was hoping there was a fix, I was playing the campaign with Necrons and when I load the Sisters of Battle stronghold mission, after the loading screen I get a "Fatal Scar error - Execution paused", if I press Pause button the music plays but the mission won't get past a black screen and I'm stuck there.

I'm aware of the bug on the Sisters stronghold - a fix has been implemented and will be in the next version, which I'll hopefully be uploading soon. I'm just in the middle of sorting out some other fixes at the moment.

Do you have an ETA on that? I finally learned to fight the AI on normal without being humiliated, and I thought I'd play through the campaign.

A few things I noticed with 1.55:
*The necron army painter has a 'webway gate', which looks like the entrance to a necron tomb. Campaign asset that got included by mistake?
*Some of the commanders in the army painter are labeled '(Commander)', others are not.
*The necron and sisters army painter lists start with the builders instead of the commanders.
*The Wych Succubus is listed before the Wych.
*The Ork tank is inconsistently named "Looted Leman Russ Tank" and "Looted Tank", depending on the tooltip.
*There seems to be an extra space in the name of the various marauder bombing run abilities. The descriptions also don't begin with a dash (which may have been the case in vanilla, but looks odd).

You may want to write an article for every new release. Articles are listed above files on the main page, and a careless user might come away thinking 1.54 is the latest version.

Should hopefully be in a week or so, depending on RL commitments. Currently working on fixing some inconsistencies in the clone squads for the Ethereal's Holographic Projection ability. I'll take a look at the issues you've raised here as well.

The Chaos, Eldar and Ork commander units having (Commander) after their name is something that's always been there since the original Dawn of War (this is in the game itself as well, rather than just the Army Painter). The commanders introduced with the expansions didn't have this for some reason, and the earlier ones were never changed either. Not really sure why. I guess I could update the tooltips to remove it for these guys, as it's not really required.

I looked at the Marauder bomb abilities and their descriptions all seem to begin with a dash. I've fixed the double-space issue though.

Also, "Affects" is capitalized in the Corruption tooptip.
