Dark Project has been in development since late 2012 and we hope to release it by the end of 2013.
Due to budget constraints the challenge would be to create something interesting enough to immerse the player without using things like voice over and cut scenes. The story will have to be delivered to the player using other techniques.
Dark Project Game:
Made a few minor changes to the game. Last time we mentioned about the new weapon selection system that was created to clear up the HUD. The system works great! I also decided that the on-screen joysticks had to be semi-transparent. This helps with clearing up the screen so that the HUD does not get in the way too much.
Dark Project has come a long way these past few months and it is nearing completion. So polish is the name of the game now! Some minor modifications to the first few levels were made. Since by this time i feel like i can do things better! :-)
I took some time working on some of the games textures, hopefully making things look better. And i think some of the texture changes were necessary to improve the quality of the game. The other issue i had was some of the ambient and monster sounds were not playing on the android build. I had to reformat about 50 game character and ambient sounds to get the sound working properly again. This was very annoying!
The flashlight is one of the most important features in the game, so why not smarten it up? I added a cookie to the flashlight to give it a more realistic flashlight look and i am very excited the way it looks!
The game is still under heavy testing and minor issues still need to be addressed. I am however worried about which devices the game will work on.
Lastly, changes were made to the games blog and i realized that there is not even a link to the blog from this site! So that that is fixed now!:-)
