-- Fixes the female gem store NPC flat data to use the correct faction instead of using Br'itsa.

- Ebony Blade 11 November 2011
-- Fixes the the inventory screen graphics for the Ebony Blade.
In 213 equipping the Blade with another item would cause the PC to hold both items in the same hand. Also, the Blade would be coloured as per the metal tied to the PC's level, ie it would often not look like ebony. Although AndyFall corrected the equipped hand bug, it made the Blade appear tiny when it was unequipped in the inventory, and the colouring bug remained. This patch fixes all of these problems.
-- Note that this patch applies only to the inventory graphics. The equipped graphic (weapon animation) colours are still broken as they are for all weapon artifacts. The level of the PC when the artifact is generated determines the colour used for the weapon animations for all artifacts.

-- Fixes the mixed-up Leaping %it and %it of Venom Spitting.
The effects of these items have been exchanged: Leaping now casts Levitate when used, and Venom Spitting enhances skill Dragonish. I have also changed the effect of Cursing %it to cast Paralysis on strike to avoid the duplicate effect of cast Toxic Cloud.
Extensions
This section is for things that aren't bug fixes but are intended to enhance Daggerfall while adhering to the aesthetic of the game.
- Daggerfall AHK script 20 November 2011
-- Quick save and "turbo fire" LMB clicking for inventory navigation.
There is also a soft toggle script that you could use for running/sneaking/whatever. I say soft because it doesn't feature breaks on hitting other specified keys -- it's on or off. You will need some basic knowledge of AutoHotKey to use this. At the moment it's more of a jumping off point. Feel free to build on it. If you extend this or have something of your own, get a copy to me and I'll put it up here.

* Installation
If you are willing to use a hex editor:
--- View hackfall.dhk and take note of the _decimal_ offsets and byte values.
--- Each line is in the format: [offset] [number of bytes changed] [byte values].
--- Fire up your hex editor and make all the changes.
--- Copy over the other files to your ARENA2 directory.
--- Done!
If you are unwilling to use a hex editor:
Extract the files in the archive to a sub-directory of your Daggerfall directory named HACKFALL. This is important -- it won't work otherwise. For example:
x:\games\dagger\hackfall
This fix utilizes FALLHACK by Andy Polis. You will need to obtain a copy and install it into your Daggerfall directory.

You should read the documentation of Fallhack before continuing as blindly following instructions is Not A Good Idea.
Now that you've read the Fallhack documentation, you'll know to install fallhack.exe to your ..\dagger\ directory and that what you need to do at the DOS prompt is:
fallhack /i hackfall
This will make permanent changes to MAPS.BSA and BLOCKS.BSA, and copy over the other included files. It will also make a back-up copy of maps.bsa in the \hackfall directory.
--- Therefore you will need ~50mb free space available for the back-up.
--- You can delete this back-up if you are satisfied with the changes or have other back-ups.
Fallhack will display a (cheesy) graphic while it is working. When it is finished it will dump you back at the prompt.
Now fire up Daggerfall and enjoy the changes.
