Over the last two weeks, I've been doing a mix of adding modding support, making an updater, making other shizz, and procrastinating. I've finally got around to finishing the updater to a point I'm completely satisfied with it.
Here's a preview of the updater. It shows a percent of what's done, a link to the website, and (where the "1% done." is) a space for play/update. Oh, and don't forget the actual details. In this case, it's downloading Western Way for players new to Iron Prelude.
It'll pretty much be used for every game that comes out from Sleepy Studios. As soon as I get the adapted UI from Sekaru, I can stick it on, and Crawle can dynamically be patched, as all we need to do is upload the files to an FTP, and the updater checks what's missing, or what has a different file size, and downloads the newer version. Of course, the one flaw with this is that you don't get the massive level of compression as you would with version-by-version, and having it RARed up to best compression, but for a relatively small game like Crawle, you can first-time download it within 5 minutes, and update within half-a-minute.
