I've spent the last week deep in the folds of the Unity 3D Pro trial. :) I initially wanted to use the Pro trial to help me optimize the performance of the game. That quickly gave way to much tinkering with the shadows, lighting, Occlusion Culling, and many other amazing features of the Pro version.
Crashed Lander looks SO good with the realtime shadows and other whirly-gigs. And the performance is even better than it was before all the sye candy. Wn Win. I don't know how I'll be able to go back to the free version after the 30 days. o.O
It's actually inspired me to go through with my ideas for a Kickstarter project. I'm going to ask for some support to help buy Unity Pro and some other tools to help make Crashed Lander really shine. Stay tuned for more details.
