Not trying to be the realism fanatic here but that sword would not be very good in a real fight. It has jagged edges which would cause it to get stuck on things like armor and would prevent you from easily withdrawing it from whatever you end up stabbing. Furthermore the guard is way to bulky for its purpose and would just add unnecessary weight.

Granted this sword is better than 90% of the fantasy themed swords out there but it's still detrimental to its overall purpose (of killing stuff) instead of adding to it.

Go on bury my comment and live in ignorance...

Also it's nice to see you guys still working on this despite your kickstarter campaign not succeeding.

Your argument would be fine if the goal was not to fight *gods* - mythical equipment has a tendency to be over-the-top.

Description

Long ago, Aderyn's people were fighting a battle against Nitima's people, in an ancient war for waning croplands. A foot soldier, clad in plate armor with a sword and shield leapt into the fray. Only a few caught a glimpse of her heroic acts before she disappeared into the fray. They say she unhorsed their standard-bearer, cut down a row of spearmen, and crippled their commanding officer's horse before she was taken down. Her standard lay trampled beneath the onslaught of Nitima's furious warriors.
But those who witnessed the Hero's fall, found their courage revived, as if some light were growing in them, enabling coordination in their attacks. Thanks to her valor, which ultimately turned the tides at the Battle of Rolling Hill, Aderyn's people drove the Jealous God's forces out of the Cradle once more.
The Swordsman may wield the twin weapons she carried into battle, encasing the memory of her deed through his embodiment of chaos on the battlefield. Some would call him the "Berzerker". Thriving in close quarters combat, the Swordsman dual-wields slicing and piercing weapons to slay foes with abandon. With a powerful shout, the berserker will rush even the most dangerous of foes with a powerful battle charge.
