Critical Point: Incursion is a standalone game created with Epic Games' Unreal Development Kit. Incursion is a semi-realistic, arcade-like first-person shooter combining tactical gameplay with arcade-style speed.Utilising a wide variety of modern weaponry and set in fantastically rendered locations, the Mercenaries and Special Forces meet at a critical point! In a rush-based mode as seen in first-person shooters such as CoD4, Battlefield 3, Counter Strike and TO:AoT, teams are given level-specific objectives in round-based scenarios! CP:I is aimed at a large player base, offering a huge platform for competitive clan and league play, allowing individuals to shine and capture their glory regardless of how many hours they have played. It accentuates skill vs luck, aiming vs spraying, etc. We differ from the competition by having no unlockables, no RPG's, claymores, tanks, jets or other vehicles. Just PURE infantry combat action!!

An Update on the Progress of the Tactical Assault Development team

Posted by on

We haven't been making much noise recently so we thought we would send out a quick update to let you all know how we are getting on. We haven't got lots of shiny pictures but we are still making progress and we are now getting to one of the most important stages in the development.

The big news is that all of the weapons are now complete, yes thats all 24 of them! Considering that each was made from scratch and they are all very high quality as you have seen, we are pretty happy with that. I think that they are definitely a testament to the skill of some of the people working on the TA team.

The next big task is going to be animating all of these guns in the game. This is a really big task and we would definitely benefit from getting another skilled animator on the team. If you or anyone you know could help us out then make sure that you get in touch through the application form. Stud is also looking for a programmer to help him with the design for the new site (OOP and MVC experience a must) so this could be a chance to make a real difference to the image of TA!

We will be bringing you an update of the progress of our character modelling real soon (with pictures ;)) so keep an eye out for that.

See you on the servers,
Your TA Team.

You are done with the weapons but you are not done with the weapons.
What now?? :P
I hope you find someone with good animator skills, because this is one of the things that counts most in a mod.
I don't feel ready for another project and working with UT3, (engine-wise, hate all that lame cooking files stuff, that makes no sense) is kinda uninteresting.
