Claustrophobia: The Downward Struggle is an indie RPG roguelike, with a retro graphic style and a terrible sense of humour. The game takes place in a series of ever descending randomly generated dungeon floors, packed full of monsters to slaughter and loot to pillage. The game plays like a traditional roguelike, but with a clean UI, a slick, action orientated combat system, and a massive range of enemy types, skills, gear and room designs. With features like crafting, skill trees, characters development, and just-one-more-room style gameplay, Claustrophobia is a love letter to traditional RPG rougelikes. Create your ideal hero, build your own custom class, then set out on your quest for glory, slaughter, and anything shiny!

I just have to say I am having so much fun playing this. It reminds me of older games from my childhood (Zelda for NES, for example) that I wasted hours and hours on. Just when I get to where I think I'm doing well something big comes along and kills me and I have to start from scratch...prompting me to waste another chunk of time rebuilding. It's a great game to play when you have a little bit of time to waste (like when I have 1/2 hour breaks between classes).

I am very very much looking forward to future updates - a tutorial would be nice (I know you're working on it), and maybe some sort of crafting guide. Beyond that, I love how it's very simple, with universal mechanics and a wry sense of humor :D Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the kind words! You pretty much summed up everything I'm aiming to achieve with this project, so I'm very grateful. I will continue to release regular content and feature patches to keep the game fresh, and to eventually build it into the full finished game I plan. I always appreciate people taking the time to share their opinions, so thanks again.
