Claustrophobia: The Downward Struggle is an indie RPG roguelike, with a retro graphic style and a terrible sense of humour. The game takes place in a series of ever descending randomly generated dungeon floors, packed full of monsters to slaughter and loot to pillage. The game plays like a traditional roguelike, but with a clean UI, a slick, action orientated combat system, and a massive range of enemy types, skills, gear and room designs. With features like crafting, skill trees, characters development, and just-one-more-room style gameplay, Claustrophobia is a love letter to traditional RPG rougelikes. Create your ideal hero, build your own custom class, then set out on your quest for glory, slaughter, and anything shiny!

So the game is super addicting so far, I feel like I'm playing old roguelikes with better graphics and new elements that keep it fresh! There have been a few bugs that annoy me (stamina only working on mouse click, unlimited talent points, diagonal doors etc) but those are bugs and this is only alpha so here goes my current list of pros and cons after playing for a few days: Pros- A game I can enjoy with my older family members, but has enough new stuff to keep me going Crafting system! Massive amounts of items, without having to cringe at a cramped inventory Talent points to customize your character Cons- No editable controls as of yet clunky diagonal movement Unless zoomed it's extremely hard to see where your position is on the minimap no way to store known craft recipes So all in all even in Alpha it's been a real joy to play, and I think it will really shape up to be a real gem in the coming months, I've already started sharing stories with friends of mine and generating some hype to it, so I hope what little I talk about it will help you out. |

Thanks for playing! I'm really glad you're enjoying it! I'm very appreciative of any hype, so thank you for that. What do you mean about stamina only working on mouse click? I am aware that the (mini) mini map is virtually useless, as the character pixel looks very much the same as all the other pixels, so I'll be doing something about that soon. Maybe a miniture charater head for the room the player is in. |

Well it seems you can only use stamina based health regen when clicking to move with the mouse, not by using the keyboard |

Ah, yes, that's a known bug that's fixed in 1.0.5. That should be out some time next week. |
