City of Steam Sneak Peek Events Open news

"The Collector"
There are hundreds of items in City of Steam even in this sneak peek version. So as something to emphasize just how much extra we squeezed in there, we wanted to set up this little friendly competition. As a quick example, remember all that history we posted on the website? Well that’s actually the short version. In game you’ll be able to collect all 60 history books. There’s also all those newspapers from the neighboring countries to collect and countless more flavor items. Don’t forget to read the descriptions!

So for this little competition, who can collect the most, errr stuff? Take some screenshots and let’s see who can horde the most items. (If you get an enormous amount of shillings share away) Find something funny (We threw in a couple really nice gems)? Share it here. If you want to know more about something mentioned in a description, ask away and we’ll tell you as much as we can about it.

"Impressions from Sneak Peek Testers"
We really appreciate your continual interest in City of Steam. For people who’ve been watching our game since the beginning, we really would like to hear from you and hear what you think of the game at this early stage. Will there be loads of bugs? Yeah!

Every week, we’ll select one tester and conduct an informal interview. Hey, don’t be nervous and shy, you can show any aspect of yourself. Tell us about your experience in-game, tell us how you found out about City of Steam and well, stuff.

We’d prefer not to select the members randomly so if you would like to volunteer come forward and send an email to: shirley.x@mechanist.co

Also please tell us the way of interview you like. We're thinking of real-time interview (for example, interactive on skype) and email communication, but time difference is what we need to deal with. Any suggestion?

"Favorite Shot"
The Sneak Peek, our debut launch for City of Steam, is up and running. It’s the first time that we’ve rotated these secret gears outside of Mechanist Games. Welcome game players from all around the world. City of Steam may be browser based but we aren’t going to be shy, it does indeed look awesome. In middle of a fierce attack, simply talking to an NPC, running towards a Dungeon – it’s a beautiful world, what do you personally like? Capture your favorite in-game shot and then post it here. Feel free to discuss which one you like the most. We’d like to know what you like and we’ll definitely jump in to answer any questions you have regarding any aspect.

"Craziest Looking Bug...Maybe" (we are fixing them )
By now you’ve realized that this game is still in its early form and you’ve definitely encountered some bugs (not just the crawling ones).We’re trying to find them all now so that we can polish this game up for a proper launch later. Try to capture any of the craziest looking ones in a screenshot and post it here. We’d love to see what can go wrong.
