Thomas has developed a music sequencer for chatty to create your own tracks and add them on the party playlist. Everyone in the area will hear your music. Later we want to add a rating system and a track browser to listen to player’s compositions in other area.
We have discussed a lot about which interface we should use for this, there’s a lot of software for creating music and a lot of equipment to use. After trying some of them, we decided which one was the most intuitive for the user and try to recreate the ease of those software in a webplayer. The first version is done and we all like it here, there’s still some glitches and we wait for the next version of Unity to fix it. We have a little tech demo for you to try it here and now. We would really appreciate all feedback.
Instructions:
First there’s a play and loop button. To activate a beat on the pattern you just have to click it, and click it again to deselect. With this you can create patterns, choose samples from the library and set the BPM. There’s two icons, one to copy a pattern and one to paste on other pattern. With the menu on the right you can create and delete sequences with the “+/-”
