Will we be able to push through the bamboo, or do they serve as natural walls to funnel the action?

Some areas will be really dense, acting like a wall, and others will have room to move through. We're aiming to make sure it's not just a bunch of corridors.

Make it so. I'd love to relive Bushido Blade moments in this.

Imagine teams carving through the jungle into another 'corridor' where they are met by another team doing the same and they end up having this intense battle in the bamboo forest with grass falling everywhere! I would how the engine would manage such a thing though :P

Also, could we have a full native resolution screenshot of this? :D it is so beautiful

Cool idea- we'll have to check how well we can optimize the bamboo... perhaps there will be certain 'sliceable' sections that allow the teams to dynamically alter the map?

Screenshots (and wallpapers) coming soon :) !

Neat!

The displacements are realistic, and the props are placed carefully. Not to mention the textures choice, the vivid ambient colours and the amazing shadow casts!

By the way, I don't think people with mid-end computers gonna love that "cut-all-the-bamboo" thing, since I don't think it could be handled properly on those machines. Otherwise, it could be good to "spawn" sprites instead of 3D prop gibs for the bamboos, or at least I suggest also to add it as a graphic option in the video settings, so people can choose if they prefer props or sprites for these kind of particle effects, to make them have a bit of enhancement on their FPS. :)

Anyway, some bumps on the leaves blend ground textures could be good also, in my opinion.

But the overall work is just amazing. A really outstanding job!

Keep it up, devs! :)

It's a sin to mention "cod" here, but you guys deserve 1'000'000 times more attention than they and their lazy plagiarism.
