Boxycraft is a physics-based puzzle platform game, where you use your skills of running, jumping, grabbing, swinging, pushing or pulling objects to make your way through completely interactive levels.
The next version of Boxycraft is current in development, you can preorder it here. I also hope you will follow my progress on my Blog!
You can also Download the original version of Boxycraft to try it out. It has 2-player mode and tons of fun levels!
I said there'll be some new exciting changes happening soon, so here's some of the first: Explosions and shaders!
The shaders are only a start, and as I do more work with them I think we'll really start seeing Boxycraft 2's graphics improving (which haven't really changed much since Boxycraft 1).
I've also begun working on deformable objects/terrain. When an Explosive detonates, either after being activated by a Switch or after a large impact, it cuts a big circle out of all nearby shapes, the circle being the size of the blast radius.
As well as that there is also a new non-physics particle system that I use for effects. You can see it in action when you set objects on fire or watch the debris flying after an explosion!
Anyway, these were just the highlights of the latest Boxycraft 2 release, and you can read the rest here.
New physics engine, new GUI, new editor, new new new! Boxycraft 2 development is progressing!
What I've done is put together a couple of tips for people who are looking to implement a scripting language into a game written for the .Net framework...
A test program you can download, which allows you create a user interface and handle the controls' events with a Lua script. Demonstrates what will be...
Farseer Physics have just informed everyone that their new physics engine (3.0) is stable enough for use! This is great news that I have been waiting...
The original version of Boxycraft. Includes Multiplayer on the same computer.

how much will it cost?
You can preorder it now for $14.99, but the final price will be a bit more.
Just so you know, preordering gives you instant access to the level editor!

iTrack
Can I just say , this is one of the most entertaining games I have ever played.
I loved that song name "Spinning into control : Stray strumming"
Sadly the rest sucked awful really irritating.
Never the less , i'll definitely download the new update/version once it's out!
By looking at the on the screenshots it definitely looks like there is a big difference and changes from what you last made, and I mean positive changes ofc.
Boxyman your awesome!
I salute you for this awesome game.
Easy to play easy to follow , just epic.
Well done man.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I am doing my best with the next version, but there is still a lot to do before it's finished.
I'm glad you liked at least 1 of the 3 songs, it was difficult finding music that I thought suited the game, hence the limited choice! :)
Looking great, I remember a while back there was a game called Scribbly Ninja and it was a lot like this except not nearly as good with level creation and the gameplay was shoddy but this looks wonderful! The one thing, the ONE THING I'm not digging is the player. No offense but it looks like something a 10 year old did in Paint in a few seconds. Maybe your going for that style but I just don't like it. Nothing thats preventing me from playing this though. Great work and keep it up!
Thanks Winnfielder! I'm aiming for a much more handsome character in the next version :)
add some shadows, make it 3d ish
Great work, cant wait for the new version (:
