A test program you can download, which allows you create a user interface and handle the controls' events with a Lua script. Demonstrates what will be possible in Boxycraft 2.

To take a break from changing the physics engine in Boxycraft and keep myself sane, I put together this little program demonstrating Boxycraft 2's ability to use Lua scripts to create a functional GUI.

You can create controls, edit their properties and handle their events all from the Lua script. Try it out for yourself! When this is complete the possibilities for creating custom GUI's will be near endless, while still being extremely simple to use.

I played around with the LUA and made a UI or two. Do you plan to expose engine functions to LUA? Mmm

Yes, I do. The main uses of Lua in Boxycraft 2 will be making new objects, decorations and player enhancements.

One reason you may need access to the GUI is if you make an attachment that needs a special interface to be attached.
