The goal of this game is to collect all the jewels. Dangerous bombs try to blow you up so you should avoid them. The 1-UPs will help you. When you collect one of those, you gain 1 life and a few extra points. Also sometimes a bonus jewel appears. Get the highest score and don't be bombed.

Levels 3 & 4 have been developed for Bombsweeper...

We have went ahead and created Levels 3 and for Bombsweeper. We already have the demo build and will be put up on IndieDB tonight at 11:59pm ET. Levels 3 and 4 are harder than the first 2 levels. In Level 3, the jewels are more spread out instead of close together. In Level 4, the bombs are closer together. I also found something I knew people would use to cheat in the game. In the game you have to right-click to get points from the jewels, and I knew people would just go to every rock and right-click to get the points instead of just left-clicking so they could avoid bombs. So now, I've input a function where if a person left-clicks or right-clicks a rock with a bomb under it, the bomb still goes off and you lose a life. That keeps the game fair. Also, Redkix Games had a Creator's Meeting today where a multiplayer was discussed for Bombsweeper. The multiplayer API will be integrated from either Desura or Steam. Community Manager of Redkix Games, Jerry Verde, says:

Jerry_Verde wrote: "[We] are trying to make Bombsweeper as fun to play as possible. And we thought adding a multiplayer would create a huge milestone in that area. We haven't necessarily thought out how the multiplayer will work as to how the player will compete against another."

In other news, Bombsweeper was submitted into Steam earlier today. Bombsweeper is hoped to be able to be available to both Steam and Desura. So the Steamworks API will most likely be integrated to Bombsweeper for the multiplayer portion. That's all for now. Until next time, carry on!
