You'll battle cultists, gargoyles, zombies, hellhounds, and an unholy host of other terrors in your quest to stop Tchernobog. You must not only defeat the Cabal--you must scour its dread name from human memory. If that means eradicating everyone and everything the Cabal has ever tainted, so be it. Of course, you'll first have to make your way through fortresses, castles, mines, mansions, and estates guarded and kept by Tchernobog's malevolent servants. Fortunately, it is wits that make the hero, and although you're in serious danger of losing yours, you've got enough left to improvise some pretty effective tools of destruction. Aerosol hairspray can be frightening enough on its own, but apply it to a lighter flame and you've got an instant flamethrower (kids, don't try this at home!). Likewise, a flare gun can brighten your prospects considerably against even the grimmest odds, which is to say nothing for shotguns, Tommy guns, and dynamite. Who knows,...

This is one of the best games ever made and by far the best FPS. It has all the elements you will ever need in a FPS game. There's plenty of action, puzzles, quite a few areas and enemies that truly inspire horror. All weapons have secondary fire and are of a large variety. The original music is superb, contributing a lot to the general feeling of the game. The game, made in 1997, has destructible objects and physics. You can fire 600 rounds of ammo (500 from the Tommy-gun and 100 from the shotgun) and all casings will be visible on the ground (show me a modern game that can do that). I wish this game and it’s continuation get a rebuild on a modern game engine.

One of the best boomshoots, FPSes, and video games ever made.

Blood is one of the games than many with a PC remember.
+ Is fun to play.
+ Is full of references of Terror Movies Slashers from 80/90s (my favourites).
+ The voice of Caleb is remarkable.
+ The atmosphere is great.
- Is HARD!!!.
I recommend type: "SPORK" when you die (press T) to get other chance to fight.

Best horror game ever created

Blood was all about thriving on wanton violence and mayhem, a game that really lived up to its name. But it wasn't all about simply spilling buckets of blood everywhere, however exaggerated it was, which was very over-the-top. The game was like a first person version of Splatterhouse, featuring lots of highly disturbing depictions of dismemberment and torture, presumably of innocent people; gruesome environments that looked straight out of a psychopath's dreamland, and a roster of nightmarish creatures worthy of a horror show. It may all look and feel pretty primitive by modern standards and how accostumed we've grown to seeing such images, but back then it was all unsettling as hell (I remember being scared shittless whenever I had to get in the water, terrified of encountering Gill Beasts and seeing their horrible faces up close).
I don't even know how Monolith managed to release this game without a bunch of people making a bigger fuss than when Doom first came out, and that game was nowhere near as insane in its depictions of violence as Blood was.

One of the best '90s first person shooters.
