You assume the role of team leader in the tactical response team of a major city police force. Your work is to plan and carry out tactical entry in barricade and hostage situations with least possible loss of life the desired outcome.
Another screen from the tutorial I'm working on. It illustrates the mechanism to reload weapons, which requires you to swap magazines and, if the bolt is open you also need to release it as a separate step.
Do you think that extra step is too detailed and thus annoying, or would you like it to remain like this? Please tell me what you think.
It depends on implementation but this is definitely a cool detail to have in a game like this.
Right now, first you press M to change to a new magazine. After that you also need to press B to release the bolt. Of course if the bolt was already closed there's no need to press B. And all the keys are configurable. I've seen people be confused by this, though now I've added a status indicator telling you that the bolt is open when you try to fire. Making this optional is probably the best way to go.
Better give a option to toggle it on/off so no one will complain but i think this is great idea
Hey, thanks for your input! I agree, I think an option for it is the best way to go. I really want to keep it for the realism.
NO its not ANNOYING it's also a part of the simulation if someone think it's annoying then go play arcade games.
But Overall GREAT implementation of weapon Mechanism Hats off on you man! totally Worthy of RESPECT!!!
Awesome idea! I really liked it. Well, I'm a gun nut, so anything releated to gun realism is a plus for me :P But if you think it's to much maybe put a option to swicht it off on the menu.
That one NY Journalist should of learned a thing or two off of this :P
What did I miss? :)
he's talking about a pussy NY journalist, who said that he got a PTSD from firing an AR15. :D
