Block Builder is a Turn-Based RPG set on 3D surfaces where you take advantage of the topology of the levels and your ability to remove and place blocks to your advantage.
A demo of the 3D version of the game. The game has certainly evolved in the past year.
This is a demo of the 3D version of the game's sandbox mode. In the zip folder you will find the game and a level file. The level file is essentially a 3D model with block information. I might post a guide later saying how to edit this file. For now feel free to experiment with it.
The first thing you will see when opening the game is a configuration screen. In later builds this will be a different layout but it works for now. Use the arrow keys to move between different controls. Press enter to choose that control. A timer ticks down in the top left of the screen. If you let that run down the control will remain the same. Otherwise press the button you want to use for that control. Controllers should work. If for some reason the controller doesn't want to work just hold the button you want before pressing and let me know the details of what happened. There might be edge cases I am unaware of.
After that press space to begin the game. You can move around. In the menu (press pause) is the first item of the game. It's a thing that lets you place and remove blocks from the surface. Assign it to an item slot by pressing the button for either item. Then use it with that button by exiting out of the menu. It can be fun to experiment with.
(Oh and be careful with ice. It can make weird results when you make a loop with it. It's not a bug, but just a fun predicament to get out of.)
