Black Sierra
Deep within the Black Mountain a tear in the universe was discovered leading to a dark dimension of carnivorous monsters when a mining company dug too deep in search of riches. Unleashed upon the surrounding towns what escaped from the depths swallowed everyone in their path in only a matter of weeks. The Government of the United States quickly quarantined the mountain barely managing to eliminate the threats still residing in the mountain.
A top-secret research base was built into the mountain taking over the old mining camp where they studied the rift for 10 years until the day the mountain trembled again. A distress signal was received from the site shortly before going into complete lock-down when it was sealed off.
The base stayed quiet for six months - then the first sighting of strange creatures began again not far from the mountain's peak. At a rapid pace things began to spiral out of control as rifts began reaching outwards from inside the mountain, and began appearing on the surface as death crawled out of them destroying everything in its path.
The Game
Black Sierra is a hard-core first person Action-Survival game that pits players against the descending darkness seeping from the Black Mountain itself. Stationed at the Iron Gate outpost at the base of the mountain, your squad is tasked with patrolling the surrounding areas and eliminating any threats and closing rifts - gateways leading to a dark dimension that are continuously spreading out from within the mountain itself trying to further its reach.
