What is Spring: Battletech?
It is a mod/total conversion for the Spring engine based on the Battletech universe, where mechs are the lords of the battlefield, and all tremble before their might.
The mod started off on the Total Annihilation engine, and there is an older version (OTA) available here, and the latest patch here.
Main Features:
+ Tons of canon Classic Battletech units. The mod adds over 200 different Mechs, tanks, infantry and aerospace elements from both the Clans and Inner Sphere rosters, ranging from nimble Light mechs to the heaviest 100-ton Assault-class mechs.
Unit list
+ Combined-arms warfare. Mechs may be the lords of the battlefield, but they still need support from conventional armor and aerofighter support, so be ready to experience full scale Battletech warfare at its best.
+ Mech duels. As Spring features a limited type of "unit possession", you can engage in Trials of Position or whatever mech duels you fancy. Or if you're assured of victory, simply jump into a mech and personally start blasting your hapless enemies to scrap!
About the updated version:
As the Spring engine has matured and now supports modern 3D graphics, the updated version takes advantage of the Spring engine and brings in new, higher-poly models and custom-made textures.

the modles look amazing but i think that you should make your modles more worn like mud on thier feet and lasar burns.
Don't think the mechs would have laser burns and mud on them fresh out of the mechlab.
I think this mod looks great! But have you tried re-modeling the battle-mechs from BF 2142? They would look great!
I was wondering if your team would ever allow usage of the models for mechs to be used in other game mods. I am trying to find models for a supreme commander mod.
