Editing vehicle parts using bfmeshviewer 2.5.3

Hello guys welcome to my first tutorial about how to remove vehicle parts by just using bfmeshviewer version 2.5.3. You can get this bfmeshviewer from here Bytehazard.com

This method can be used for all vehicles to as far you know a little trick, so a little effort needed to make it works. Right now I'm using helicopter as the example how to make it work.

Here's little example of editing step,

step 3 deleting

The tutorial are way too long for detail explanation, I included the way to clone bf2 vehicles right there too and the right way to change the vehicle textures directory. So you can download the full tutorial from the link given below Mega.nz

I hope this little knowledge shared by me can help a little bit about your modding in bf2. Have a good luck trying this method.

Hi Fast&FPS;,

Thank you for sharing this tutorial.

Can you make one on how to add, for example, a Turret gun to an helicopter?

Best regards

Hi there!
Very useful information you shared!
Would there be any way to do the opposite? That is, instead of removing parts, what I want is to add a new part. For example, add a silencer, a tactical grip or add a stock to a weapon only using the BF Mesh Editor? Or is that only possible using other programs such as 3D Max?

---raven708--- there's no other way for adding weapon parts but this method is only applicable for vehicles only. You can cut the part and use it on other vehicle.

That means that with the BF Mesh Viewer can I cut the part of a vehicle and use it in another?
If so, how should it be done? I cannot find in BF Mesh Viewer an option to paste or combine faces.
Thanks in advance!

for the both question, it's not possible to move faces/vertices nor duplicate it. You can only remove it. I will made 3ds max tutorial.
