Peequod this export is exactly the same as the one I have from years ago. Usually when others export there will be some sort of difference. :\ Did you export this or did someone else?
That's strange. I've never seen yours before and I swear this is mine, mine even has some missing parts and stuff.
The one I have from bfmil.cn (released years ago) has the same polycounts and LODS on every level. Same number of vertices and material IDS. Even the 3rd person model has the bipod deployed vs the 1st person which doesn't have it deployed just like the one I have from years ago.
I've never seen this kind of exact duplication before for two different exports of the same model.
It's OK to share something we've found elsewhere, but we should never claim credit for something we didn't do. That's credit theft and a terrible thing to do.
You guys need to stop downvoting masterchief. Regardless of whether or not he's right about it being his model, he's making an important statement about theft and credibility. I get the feeling more and more as new users come on that they do not understand how the voting system works. It's not whether or not you disagree. It isn't facebook. Downvoting is reserved for a comment that is not appropriate (against site rules and regulations) or in bad taste. Up voting is for agreeing or simply liking the comment. If you disagree write a comment and voice your opinion but don't downvote someone who is following the rules and making an valid point.
