Description
Apart from the astonish landscape, the main interest of this infantry version of the mountains map, is to have available the Z axis as additional tactical constraint, which is only too rarely observed in other maps.It is recommended to fill the map with, at least, 32 bots / players for dynamic gameplay !

Ugly stupid trees I still growing up my HD tree library but I will handle those abominations! Most impressive map I've saw and I'm very picky for maps heheeh very nicely done!

Played and tested :D here are some pros and cons: Good layout, good texture, gameplay wise is quite balanced surprisingly. Cons are not much, only slight fps drop and 2 random crashes out of 18 games. The US side took slightly longer time than China to capture their first flag but overall its a 10/10 map :)

With regard to the fall of fps, this is due to the many objects/trees, as well as the important use of AI, which consumes a lot of CPU time: fewer bots can solve the problem; but then, to complete, you have to find some friends for a lan party:...Hi, hi !

By the way, for "ran out of memory" or unstable fps, compressing all Colormaps to DXT1 with mipmaps may solve the problem(fps increased from 30 to 45 on my AMD R5 2GB card). But this way BF2Editor may not be able to read the compressed colormaps so only do so if you cannot run the map ingame.
To compress, download NVIDIA DDS Utilities from NVIDIA website and run the following command in Windows console:
"(path\to\nvdxt.exe)" -file "(mod path)\Levels\MountainsInfantry\Colormaps\*.dds" -dxt1 -outsamedir -overwrite
Note that this command may overwrite all Colormaps so make sure to backup.

I'd not actually installed the map when I last posted, I was just awe struck by the look of the map. We definitely need more of these maps. I would love to know how you've created the skins for the mountains. It's one of those areas of BF2 that has never looked pretty. If you could post a tutorial on how to do this (maybe you have) I would love to create some maps with this look. we could create scenarios from conflicts all over the world. Would be brilliant. Thanks for creating this map. It's amazing.
I've been thinking of finally having a go at creating some maps myself. and would love to know how to do this as it makes the maps look so much better.
