Open Source and Charity Information

Open Source

Source Control
As you may know, the BF2D Dev team has decided to make this game open source. All previous versions of the game will be released. The current version, for both security and game play reasons, will not be released. But don't fret! The current version's source will be distributed by the time the next update rolls around!

Usage
Source is released under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported

Which means modification of the source is allowed provided that the product is open source as well. Also, products of the source cannot be distributed through commercial means.

Charity

Who is it going to?

All revenue from this game goes straight to Arcadia Educational Foundation. Arcadia Unified is the district I have attended for the last eleven years. Where I've made friends and received an excellent education. And it's about time that I returned the favor. I doubt the game will generate much income, but whatever it generates, counts.

How is this executed?
Screenshots of earnings will be posted every month. This month's image is found here. When at least $10 have accumulated, I will withdraw the money and donate to AEF, and when the receipt comes, I'll post it up as evidence.

Aargh Adfly?
Yes, as odd as it seems, Adfly is likely to be the most secure interstitial ad carrier there is. It's a necessary evil as I am unwilling to charge money for this game. You may simply ignore the advertisement and click "Continue" on the bottom right to move on. Script errors may occur, but just ignore those. I strongly suggest against clicking advertisements on adfly, as they have been known to often contain scams and other unpleasant things.

Thank you,

Joseph aka Sirosky
