Warner Bros. has released a new trailer that teases gameplay footage of Batman: Arkham VR – the PlayStation VR-exclusive Batman game that was first announced at E3 2016.
The trailer shows San Diego Comic Con attendees going hands-on with the short, experimental game, as well as their reactions to getting to play as Batman and explore Wayne Manor in first-person. Though actual gameplay footage is scarce, we do see glimpses of Batman interacting with his gadgets and use his detective vision to reconstruct a crime scene.
Batman: Arkham VR was recently rated by the Australian Classification Board, which stated it contains mature themes, violence, and “VR interactivity”. This is the first time that VR support has been mentioned or noted in an official ratings capacity, and it raises questions as to whether VR games will receive stricter ratings due to their more immersive nature.
Batman: Arkham VR launches in October this year for US$19.99, exclusively for PlayStation VR.
