Description

The Ultimate Portrait Pack was something that I came up with after hours upon hours of scouring the internet for decent portrait pictures for player characters in Baldur's Gate I or II. I found that many websites had too many portraits that were either sub-par or simply did not fit into the game well. In order to rectify this situation I downloaded any good images or portraits that I found on the web and converted them into the correct portrait format for Baldur's Gate I & II. There are a total of 206 portraits in this file, one large picture and one small picture for each portrait (one for the character screen and one for the sidebar on the in-game HUD). Please see the "Readme.txt" file located within the ZIP file for installation instructions.

Yes, some of them are from Neverwinter Nights; I simply cropped them and formatted them to the Baldur's Gate style. There is also artwork from other games and original artwork.

Actually the portraits are slightly different in size in BG:EE I will update a new pack as time permits over the next week. Sorry for the delay (I was aiming to have it ready for release but I suddenly moved across the country less than a month after getting back from Afghanistan).

Great portrait pack! I think the Mage01 portrait is probably my favorite character portrait of all time. I remember seeing it on a website many years ago that had three different versions of it with different colorings. I don't suppose you'd know where I can find those? Thanks.

I could not find the multiple colorations. However you should be able to use Photoshop color manipulation to make changes to the source image. Here is the largest source image I could find of Mage01:

Um, hey - just wanted to check something.

If I wanted to use one of the portraits here for a character in a mod, would that be okay?

(Fine if not, just wanted to know the guidelines.)

Cheers

You will need to contact the artist. I just made a compilation - I do not actually make the portraits. Pull out the image and use it in a google image search.
