In this video I introduce the basics of Drones, how they work, and what I plan on doing with them. I have all the basic interface in place for the drones, I suspect I will tweak things a bit more once I have time to test everything.

In this video I introduce the basics of Drones, how they work, and what I plan on doing with them. I have all the basic interface in place for the drones, I suspect I will tweak things a bit more once I have time to test everything. I still need to build out the drone AI to include a number of various functions.

The way the the drones work in Imperium is far different than they did in HSE. Each drone has a set of values, that determines what kind of drone it will be. This allows for hybrid combinations of all the abilities available to the engine. I suspect there will be around 20-50 different drones once the game is complete. I currently have these abilities in the works. Mining, Guns, Missile, Towing, Repair, Salvaging, Defense (shoots down missiles) , Shield, Leech, and Bomber.

I also added a some new functionality to the galaxy map. You can now filter the colors of the sectors by: Faction, Security, Environment, Missions, Assets, and Unexplored Gates. You can also pan the galaxy map around now by holding down the mouse left click and dragging.

Ships how have visual damage animations and particle effects. The more damage a ship sustains, the more intense these effects become.

The ui got a little love, and i have added a number of small ui features here and there.
