I will most likely use either vertex painting in UDK to blend the terrain and stone textures together. Or I will just instance the stone tiles (6-8 in a set) within UDK to cut down on memory usage.
This really reminds me of Rooftop Run...did you use that or any other level as inspirations for this?
Yes I did, I'm using Sky Sanctuary, Seaside hill, Shamar, Spagonia, Tropical Resort, Mazuri and Apotos for inspiration for this Zone. Also the Fleetway comics.
Awesome! Are you using only Fleetway comics as inspiration, as in strictly non-Archie? And also is Sonic Generations making it easier for you to make progress(since there's finally something on the pc that's Sonic). And finally, how's your hand doing?
Strictly non-Archie. I never read those comics. May possibly add a few Archie characters, but its not on my to do list. Generations was somewhat helpful, but in terms of level design it still is difficult to make a layout that fits the overall theme of the zone. Hand..it works but not perfect.
cool, btw, will this mod need a dual core or faster computer?
