The year is 1899. Wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus awakes in his bed, wracked with fever and haunted by dreams of a dark and hellish engine. Tortured by visions of a disastrous expedition to Mexico, broken on the failing dreams of an industrial utopia, wracked with guilt and tropical disease, he wakes into a nightmare. The house is silent, the ground beneath him shaking at the will of some infernal machine: all he knows is that his children are in grave peril, and it is up to him to save them.

Step back into the horror. Like The Dark Descent, this is a game driven by its story, exploration of the world and the constant fear of the unknown. You can expect classic Amnesia gameplay, physics interaction and the signature blend of high-end gaming with low system requirements.

Think you understand fear? Think again. A Machine for Pigs takes both the world of Amnesia and the technology of The Dark Descent to new heights of horror. Built using an updated version of HPL2 engine, the game features stunning visual and environment design, incredible music and audio effects and adapted artificial intelligence. These are all driven by a gut-wrenching, blood-curdling new story, set sixty years after the events of the original game.

Non Omnis Moriar had special anniversaries this year. The mod itself was released 8 years ago, while the source game itself just turned 10. Feels weird just to list these.

To celebrate the occasion, I've been revisiting my AMFP content throughout the entire year, and it took a long process to get it to a point where I can call it released and done:

- Non Omnis Moriar reached 1.4 stage with two major updates regarding story and structure. Other than final bugfixes (if any) I can now call it final. Worry not, for old walkthroughs still apply most of the time!

- My AMFP asset pack released its first (and possibly final) major update (1.1) that brought its features to the Steam Workshop as well, alongside Full Conversion additions for both editions. It also features a demo version of Non Omnis to showcase the assets and the changed gameplay features in action, on TDD.

Amnesia The Dark Descent Screens

Get them both on Moddb or Steam!

Happy (late) holidays, and have a good AMFP celebration, as the New Year await us!

I find it really inconvenient, and slightly unprofessional, that the game already has a major issue that prevents it from launching at certain computers. Mine included. I get an error even after I try installing the files needed for the redist folder, it still won't launch the game. So now all I can do is wait for the developers to fix the issue. (I knew I should've bought it off Steam instead..)

////****||||WARNING THIS COMMENT CONTAINS SPOILERS||||****\\\\
A mechine for pigs took too much out... no oil, no tinder boxes(just by removing the oil and tinder boxes,they doomed the game to a Fail as a horror game) , they besically took away the point of exploration.The game is self for me atleast wasn't scarry at all.The atmosphere wasn't as scarry as the first game.Not to mantion the restriction they added...not to be able to move whatever you want.The enemies were badly positioned,the new AI for them is worst than before,the maps weren't dark enought.Insted of the creepy silent,dark maps with creepy soulds they decided to make them nice bright maps,with such enviroment that you cant really be creeped out , and those machines were all too noisy (pardon my bad english).Now dont think Im just hating, I love the original game , its is 100% my favourite game --> ever <-- ... but this ... I am sorry ,but it doesn't live up to its name.Its just too obvious that different people made it. ---- To wrap this all up now this is more of a Puzzle solving action game,because there are more puzzles and running away from monsters than actually horror.

It wasn't bad. But to say it was totally awesome . Liked the old amnesia more. The old one was a bit of a challenge with alot to discover. Machine of pigs was more like: Follow the ******* path. No side rooms or anything. And ofc nothing to pickup! Although the first hour was a hell of beeing scared but after a while it wasn't that scary anymore XD cute little piggies. Too bad the game was quiet short. Although the music and sounds were really great only the gameplay didn't match up with it.
