Aliens: Colonial Marines is a squad-based first-person shooter in which the player controls four Colonial Marines, each with a different personality and primary weapon. Each player character can carry additional weapons including a flamethrower, pulse rifle, smartgun, pistol, RPG, and many types of grenades. The player controls one marine at a time, issues orders to the others using context-sensitive commands, and may switch between characters at any time.
This add-on replaces a number of low quality textures from the game with custom made higher quality ones. For now only some of the most noticeable and low quality textures have been re-created.

We are lucky to have modders like ye to help with this game, but its a disgrace that after we pay money for a game we still need guys like ye to fix it. Shame on Gearbox, supposedly they blew there budget on borderlands and just tweaked A:CM...bastards

It is nice to see a better texture mod to finally be released. Now we just need every world and clutter texture to be edited to have better textures.
Would be cool if someone could make a new flashlight texture cos the one in the game is fail. Also most of the metal surfaces look fake and plastic.
I wonder if anyone could export all the textures from AVP2010 and put them in this game cos that game looks 100x better.

Have you followed the steps from the Readme correctly? TexMod works the same way for every game so I'm not sure what may be causing it.

I'm getting the D'OH, **** happens dialog from texmod. I also added the dx11 V2 with sweetfx. COuld that be the prob ?
is there anyway just u make the pack and we copy and paste

Hi, new here by the way, anyways I do all the steps from the readme.txt and I get to the part where I can actually run the mod. The Aliens shortcut opens up the Texmod window right up and I choose the texture pack and all is dandy. Then I go to hit run and I get "Sh*t Happend, D'oh!" Anybody got a fix for this, I'd really love this mod. Thanks!
Did you browse for the copy of the original ACM.exe in Texmod too?
Yes I did, I followed the instructions from the readme.txt exactly. Everything works great until "D'oh", with it not giving me a specified error
It might have something to do with your antivirus. Seems to be a recurring issue with Texmod.
Well I did notice that AVG thought it contained a Trojan. Removed the Trojan of course, but didn't realize Texmod had a problem with anti-virus. So do I turn off AVG, start the game, and then turn it back on? If so, how do I go about doing this?
Possibly. I'm not able to replicate the issue so I can't give you an answer.

Have you used texmod on the demo and ripped the textures from that?

Yo.. 2016 Templar mod player here. I've got other textures working using TexMod but this one doesn't work! It's just the game's textures. Anyone got this working at the moment?
Can this mod be updated to work on the latest A:CM patches? Seeing re-textured places with proper stuff would seriously help with the visual feel of the game.
